In the safety of her therapist’s office in late 2001, Dr. Margaret Dessau made a tape reliving what it was like to look out her living room window after she heard the boom of a hijacked plane eight blocks away. Her gaze met the hole in the tower. “The flames get worse, and then I start seeing all these people hanging out there. The guy with this white towel, and he’s waving it.” He jumps. Children at a nearby school scream.
Since NY was hit horridly and we are reaching a ten year anniversary it is not time to celebrate but to be in silence. New York has changed drastically as any city has in the past ten years. We remember the day when it happened, we did have a job by the area at the time. However, something made us late and we never went towards the destination but we did see the horrible scenery. Limousine service was never the same. It was actually very weak in terms of visiting and we barely got any airport service. New York has suffered a lot since those days. We are slowly back to the good timse when it was the center of the toruism and greatness. We would like to welcome anyone who would like to come back here.
