Rep. Gabrielle Giffords Steps Down from Congress

Democratic Representative Gabrielle Giffords is resigning from her seat in order to concentrate on recovering from her wounds, but promised to return to public service in the future. Representative Giffords resigned also to not only do a better recovery but also have someone else provide a full on job as she recovers. In her video message she thanks many of her supporters for being hopeful in her recovery as she was shot in the head.
